DJmark assess quality standards for the UK mobile disco industry.
The market served by mobile DJs is extremely diverse, with members commonly providing services for small pubs and private parties through to large society weddings and corporate events.
Most people don't hire DJs on a regular basis and it is our mission to ensure that when they do, they can make an informed choice. Budgets vary, and as such so do the services offered by our members. Our aim is to level-set expectations by awarding members a quality rating which allows them to be easily compared against their peers in this largely unregulated business. Customers may then confidently determine which organisations they would be willing to trust their entertainment needs to.
Rating System
Our rating system is straightforward. Firstly, potential members list their details with our parent site needadisco.com which attracts a small annual fee. They are then invited to submit various forms of certification plus their operating standards in respect of health & safety, and verifiable customer references. These documents are checked by a human and updated regularly.
Any member reaching a minimum quality threshold is awarded a DJmark Silver award - our basic rating.
Depending on the quality of evidence received, we may then promote a member to DJmark Gold or DJmark Platinum. Our Platinum rating is understandably difficult to attain and is therefore granted only to the most compliant DJs.

We would NOT recommend choosing a DJ without a DJmark silver award as a minimum rating.
Assessments
Whilst we do not currently directly assess the work of members, relying instead on verifiable customer references,
we aim to offer this as an extended service to Gold and Platinum members from 2009.
