About DJmark
DJmark is the ORIGINAL and MOST COMPREHENSIVE quality assessment standard for the UK mobile disco industry. We exist to help our members adhere to best practice and improve their business models through example and coaching.
DJmark is powered by our sister site needadisco.com which was set up to promote Customer Service and Safety standards in the largely unregulated mobile disco and entertainment profession.
The aim of needadisco.com is to reward those DJs and mobile disco operators who elect to:
- take out a Public Liability Insurance policy
- undertake regular electrical Portable Appliance safety tests (PAT)
- carry out risk assessments in accordance with a published method statement and take mitigating actions accordingly
- provide written contracts or booking confirmations
- observe copyright protection by way of the ProDub licence
- share verifiable recent customer testimonials
- provide a high degree of customer focused services such as face-to-face meetings as part of their service offering
- act within the law at all times in respect of licencing, copyright, employment and HMRC
DJmark rewards these members by granting them use of a standards mark, plus support
and guidance to help them develop their business onto the next level.

Disclaimer
The UK Mobile Disco industry is not regulated. It is largely made up of sole traders, the majority of which are self-employed and work on a part-time basis. A minority of service providers are made up of partnerships and limited companies.
A number of Associations for Mobile Disco Operators exist, such as NADJ, SEDA, DJ Associates, The Wedding Professionals Network and others. DJmark is not associated with any of these organisations.
DJmark is not a formally recognised (chartered) standard. It is a third party document validation scheme.
DJmark does not offer or operate any kind of compensation scheme, nor does it run a formal complaints process.
