To achieve the DJmark Silver Award, Disco79 has provided documentary proof of the following:

• A Public Liability Insurance policy (also known as PLI) is held by Disco79. Last time we saw a copy of the certificate, the expiry date was recorded as 28/04/2012. PLI protects you and your guests in the event of a claim against Disco79 and is a standard requirement of many venues.

• A signed disclaimer confirming that due to current working practices within the company, a ProDub licence is not applicable to their operation. A ProDub licence is usually required when manipulating digital media files for the purposes of playing them in public / for reward and is a legal requirement. Further details are available at PRS for Music.

• Portable Appliance Testing records. PAT is a regime for testing and certifying as safe electrical equipment. Most PATs are valid for 12 months and the expiry date for Disco79 equipment was last recorded as being 01/02/2012. Many venues now insist on seeing PAT records for their or your subcontractors as a condition of granting access.

• Providing Written Contracts or booking confirmation to all clients.

Client Meetings Policy

Disco79 is happy to arrange a face-to-face meeting with customers prior to the event if required. This is included in the package price.

Music Requests Policy

Disco79 actively encourages requests and playlists in advance of the event as well as calling for requests on the night, if required.

Disco79 has provided evidence of holding an Enhanced CRB Disclosure (or Disclosure Scotland) covering their disco business or another closely-related activity. This information is provided for customer insight only and may be out of date. The onus remains with the customer to check.
