You want a reliable disco that will do what you want for your celebration don't you? Abracadabra is a full-time professional disco that asks exactly what you want - music, lighting and size of system to be used.
We don't accept bookings and say yes we will be there. Every booking is confirmed on contract and we are in regular contact with you for any changes that you may wish to make. We also contact venues where possible to discuss your function.
Where do we work? Hotels, Social Clubs, Village Halls, Universities and anywhere in East Anglia.
How much? Depends on where, for how long, size of disco, you tell us what YOU want!
Weddings, Birthdays, Corporate Functions, just a disco, work with bands and we also do children's entertainment. Moving heads and multi-colour laser together with bubbles and snow machines can be provided at no extra cost!

Abracadabra Disco currently holds a PLATINUM DJmark Award. This is the top-level award possible to DJs who have had their business practices vetted by DJmark. This is a difficult level to attain and only those members who follow all accepted industry best practices will achieve this level.
About the DJmark Platinum Award
To achieve the DJmark Platinum Award, Abracadabra Disco has provided documentary proof of the following:
A Public Liability Insurance policy (also known as PLI) is held by Abracadabra Disco. Last time we saw a copy of the certificate, the expiry date was recorded as 31/12/2010. PLI protects you and your guests in the event of a claim against Abracadabra Disco and is a standard requirement of many venues.
Holding a ProDub Licence. This is a block royalty payment to music rights owners and allows the DJ to manipulate digital copies of music for public performance or reward. ProDub is a legal requirement. Learn more at the PRS for Music website.
Portable Appliance Testing records. PAT is a regime for testing and certifying as safe electrical equipment. Most PATs are valid for 12 months and the expiry date for Abracadabra Disco equipment was last recorded as being 01/02/2011. Many venues now insist on seeing PAT records for their or your subcontractors as a condition of granting access.
Providing Written Contracts or booking confirmation to all clients.
A published company Health & Safety Method Statement made available to all employees and interested parties. Some venues, especially larger hotel chains, now require such documentation before granting access.
A recent Health & Safety Risk Assessment for an actual booking.
In addition, Abracadabra Disco has also confirmed to us that they offer:
Pre-event face-to-face customer meetings, if required (included in the fee)
Music requests and playlists both in advance and on the night
A landline number for customer use
Finally, DJmark have validated at least THREE recent positive customer testimonials as being accurate.

Customer Meetings
Abracadabra Disco is happy to arrange a face-to-face meeting with customers prior to the event if required. This is included in the package price.
Music Requests
Abracadabra Disco actively encourages requests and playlists in advance of the event as well as calling for requests on the night, if required.
Gig Preferences
We ask all members to select three types of celebration that they prefer to undertake. This does not preclude them from servicing or enjoying other types of event but simply provides customer insight into the type of business operated by Abracadabra Disco. The following were selected:

Disco Parties for the Under-6s
Abracadabra Disco provides disco parties for youngsters from toddler age up to around age 6 - also suitable for infant school events.
Children have a great time with action songs, games and competitions for which we provide prizes. We also have their favourite bubble and snow (foam) machines. The birthday child/children are asked to help with a magic trick during the magic show as Chris the DJ is also a member of the Anglian Magical Society. With all the interactivity the kids have a fabulous time. Music to suit the age group is used and we are always open to requests.
Disco Parties for the 7 - 12 Age Range
Abracadabra Disco provides disco parties for "tweenies" from around age 7 to 12 - also suitable for junior school events and proms.
Children have a great time with action songs, games and competitions for which we provide prizes. We also have their favourite bubble and snow (foam) machines. The birthday child/children are asked to help with a magic trick during the magic show as Chris the DJ is also a member of the Anglian Magical Society. With all the interactivity the kids have a fabulous time. With this age group chart music is getting popular.
Disco Parties for Young Teens
Abracadabra Disco provides disco parties for Young Teens from around age 13 - 16 - also suitable for school discos and proms.
This is the age group where they have started to grow up and therefore the music becomes more important. We will include suitable games if required and use a haze / smoke machine and multicoloured laser (if allowed) with a state of the art sound and light show.
