DJmark Platinum Holder

To achieve the DJmark Platinum Award, Firefly Disco has provided documentary proof of the following:

• A Public Liability Insurance policy (also known as PLI) is held by Firefly Disco. Last time we saw a copy of the certificate, the expiry date was recorded as 01/10/2012. PLI protects you and your guests in the event of a claim against Firefly Disco and is a standard requirement of many venues.

• A signed disclaimer confirming that due to current working practices within the company, a ProDub licence is not applicable to their operation. A ProDub licence is usually required when manipulating digital media files for the purposes of playing them in public / for reward and is a legal requirement. • Portable Appliance Testing records. PAT is a regime for testing and certifying as safe electrical equipment. Most PATs are valid for 12 months and the expiry date for Firefly Disco equipment was last recorded as being 30/09/2012. Many venues now insist on seeing PAT records for their or your subcontractors as a condition of granting access.

• Providing Written Contracts or booking confirmation to all clients.

• A published company Health & Safety Method Statement made available to all employees and interested parties. Some venues, especially larger hotel chains, now require such documentation before granting access.

• A recent Health & Safety Risk Assessment for an actual booking.

In addition, Firefly Disco has also confirmed to us that they offer:

• Pre-event face-to-face customer meetings as standard

• Some client input into the music styles and choices

• A landline number for customer use

Finally, DJmark have validated at least THREE recent positive customer testimonials as being accurate.

Client Meetings Policy

Firefly Disco prefers to hold a face-to-face meeting with customers prior to the event. This is included in the overall package price.

Firefly Disco has provided evidence of holding an Enhanced CRB Disclosure (or Disclosure Scotland) covering their disco business or another closely-related activity. This information is provided for customer insight only and may be out of date. The onus remains with the customer to check.
