DJmark Platinum Holder

To achieve the DJmark Platinum Award, SMP Disco has provided documentary proof of the following:

• A Public Liability Insurance policy (also known as PLI) is held by SMP Disco. Last time we saw a copy of the certificate, the expiry date was recorded as 01/08/2012. PLI protects you and your guests in the event of a claim against SMP Disco and is a standard requirement of many venues.

• A signed disclaimer confirming that due to current working practices within the company, a ProDub licence is not applicable to their operation. A ProDub licence is usually required when manipulating digital media files for the purposes of playing them in public / for reward and is a legal requirement. • Portable Appliance Testing records. PAT is a regime for testing and certifying as safe electrical equipment. Most PATs are valid for 12 months and the expiry date for SMP Disco equipment was last recorded as being 24/02/2012. Many venues now insist on seeing PAT records for their or your subcontractors as a condition of granting access.

• Providing Written Contracts or booking confirmation to all clients.

• A published company Health & Safety Method Statement made available to all employees and interested parties. Some venues, especially larger hotel chains, now require such documentation before granting access.

• A recent Health & Safety Risk Assessment for an actual booking.

In addition, SMP Disco has also confirmed to us that they offer:

• Pre-event face-to-face customer meetings, if required (included in the fee)

• Some client input into the music styles and choices

• A landline number for customer use

Finally, DJmark have validated at least THREE recent positive customer testimonials as being accurate.

Client Meetings Policy

SMP Disco is happy to arrange a face-to-face meeting with customers prior to the event if required. This is included in the package price.

SMP Disco offers the following services as standard:

Mobile Disco

A mobile disco service with audio equipment, music, effects lighting and an experienced DJ.

Walk-in DJs

DJs with their own playout source for bars & clubs with their own equipment.

Karaoke Service

A karaoke service in conjunction with, or separate from, the mobile disco offering.

Master of Ceremonies Service

SMP Disco will act as your MC or informal toastmaster, making announcements as required.
