Highly regarded by clients and venue owners alike, a DJmark Award shows that you have due regard for the law and take customer care very seriously.


DJmark is accredited by the UK's largest mobile disco trade association, the National Association of DJs (NADJ).

It is also supported by one of the UK's largest providers of public and employee liability insurance for disco operators, the Mobile DJ Network (MDJN).

Members of NADJ and/or MDJN are entitled to discounts on a range of upgrades and renewals.

Subscription Options

Membership of needadisco.com is by annual pre-payment subscription. We use PayPal for our transactions, but you don't need to have a PayPal account - just choose to pay with a UK Debit or Credit Card instead. Your PayPal payment confirmation email serves as your invoice.

All new subscriptions are eligible to list in up to 6 postal areas. A postal area is the beginning part of a UK postcode. For example, if your postcode is RG1 1XX then the postal area is RG. This covers several large towns. When setting up your listing later, you can choose to cover whole or partial postal areas. The number of postal areas assigned to your account can be increased later.

A standard Annual Subscription is £50 per annum.

Full members of the National Association of DJs (NADJ) receive 15 months instead of 12 AND are eligible for 20% off all in-service upgrades and renewals.

All subscriptions are accepted in accordance with our Terms of Use and you will be required to agree to our Member Code of Conduct.

Agencies are welcome to use this service but please read this information before signing up.

STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION

Our standard subscription is £50 per year, applies to most areas of the UK and provides for up to 6 postcode areas - plenty for most mobile DJs. If you need more areas, you may upgrade once you have signed up. For a full scale of charges, see our price list.

RURAL AREA SUBSCRIPTION

There are certain parts of the UK where we are currently under-represented. We are therefore offering a special subscription rate providing for TWO postal areas (instead of the usual six) IF your BASE POSTCODE falls into one of the following ranges:

  • BT - Northern Ireland (2 places left)
  • GY - Guernsey, Alderney & Sark
  • HS - Outer Hebrides
  • IM - Isle of Man
  • IV22 upwards - North-West Scotland and Skye
  • JE - Jersey
  • KW - Kirkwall, Northern Scotland and the Orkneys
  • LL20 upwards - parts of North West Wales & Anglesey
  • PA20 upwards - Bute, Argyll & the Inner Hebrides
  • PO30 upwards - Isle of Wight
  • TR21-TR25 - Scilly Isles
  • SY16 upwards - parts of Powys and Ceredigion
  • ZE - Shetland Islands

We reserve the right to add to or remove from this list as necessary, however whichever subscription rate you pay when you join needadisco.com will remain in effect for the life of your membership.

Agency Applications

Agencies are welcome to join needadisco.com however you should bear in mind that the site is designed for small operators who focus primarily on providing a traditional party mobile disco service.

Members earn a higher rank by submitting documentation such as PLI, PAT and Health & Safety materials and this higher rank in turn places them higher in search results which improves their chances of winning bids. Agencies will often find it difficult to provide such documentation unless the company operates its own equipment or the agency operator also works as a mobile DJ.

Additionally, our clients are expecting quotes from individual DJs and some prefer not to deal with agencies, and therefore we will clearly advise clients that the company sending them a quotation is in fact an agency.

We would advise that an agency should utilise needadisco.com in the following manner:

  • Take out a listing in the name of the agency
  • Take out an Additional Identity in the name of each individual DJ working regularly for the agency

Doing so means that you can then submit individual documentation sets for multiple DJs, and each can have their own set of preferences (budgets, gig types, coverage area and so on) but the administrative contact information would remain common. Each DJ would then find their 'natural place' in the rankings and our clients would be much more likely to accept that these DJs can only be booked via the agency.

Considerations

Applicants should be aware that certain benefits of needadisco.com membership are reserved for those members who go on to achieve a DJmark Award.

Notably, client requests for "Premium DJs" are only offered to members who hold a current DJmark Award because this is one of the differentiating factors.

Additionally, membership of some of our premium focused websites including needaweddingdisco.com and needakidsdisco.com will only be offered to those members with a DJmark Award.

Full members of the National Association of DJs (NADJ) do not need to supply proof of PLI, PAT or ELI as this is automatically handled for you.
