Office Closure 10 - 19 February

The needadisco.com offices will be closed from 10th to 19th February inclusive. During this time routine updates and changes will not be processed and new subscriptions will not be offered.

Technical support issues will be dealt with on a best endeavours basis.

This does not affect the processing of client leads and quote requests which will be processed as usual, although the follow-up activities (requesting closure confirmations and DJ reviews) will be delayed.

How Important Is The Wedding DJ?

A couple of years ago, whilst packing down after a successful evening wedding reception disco, a sheet of paper fluttered by from a table which was in the process of being dismantled. It was an invoice from the hotel (not a particularly posh place) to the bridal party for orange juice which had been substituted for some glasses of champagne for the earlier toast, obviously out of package. There were only around 75 guests at this wedding, so even if everyone switched to OJ (very unlikely considering the state of them by the end) you're not talking barrel fulls of the stuff.

The amount? Well let's just say that it was about 20% more than the cost of the disco for the entire evening...

We recently started asking those requesting quotes for weddings to tell us how much they value their DJ, by comparing them to some of the more common wedding accoutrements. Not entirely scientific, as each bride and groom will attach different priorities (and budgets) to these things, but nonetheless a very interesting question. As time passes we'll publish more data behind each choice showing the types of venues, DJ budgets etc..
