Adult contemporary music was big in this decade, with artists such as Adele, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson and CeeLo Green all incorporating soul, pop rock and folk into their music.
	Modern R&B Modern R&B combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop and electronic music. It typically features drum-machine rhythms, pitch corrected vocals and a smooth vocal arrangement littered with melisma - vocal runs up and down the scale whilst holding a syllable or word.
