How It Works

needadisco.com contains details for hundreds of the UK's top mobile disco and DJ companies. We put a lot of time into validating our members' business practices, credentials and performances to help you find a suitable and reliable mobile disco for your wedding, party or special event, no matter what your requirements or budget may be.

All of our members pay a subscription fee to be listed with us, so you don't have to wade through dozens of dead links and out-of-date information. We do not charge any commission for our DJs and the relationship is direct between you and the chosen DJ company.

Simply tell us a few basic details about your celebration or event. We'll then match you with a list of our DJs based on your requirements, their capabilities and of course their availability on your date. DJs who are available will then contact you directly with quotes by email or phone (as you prefer) and you can compare their details in your own time before deciding which to book. You will usually start to receive quotes within an hour or two of placing your request.

You can check on progress at any time, or cancel your request without obligation. All of the DJs we'll put you in touch with cover your area and are able to provide all of the services you specify in your request.

About Us

needadisco.com and its sister websites are owned and managed by Martin Harris, a recently-retired successful mobile DJ and events manager with over 25 years' experience, so we know a thing or two about organising great entertainment!

Most mobile DJs in the UK are "commodity DJs" - that is to say that they provide low-cost entertainment week in, week out at a range of functions up and down the country. The services offered at this budget level are predictable. The vast majority of these DJs are part-timers or working on a casual basis - DJ'ing either provides a small supplemental income ("beer money") or is regarded as a bit of fun.

Having heard many horror-stories from our own customers who came to us after bad experiences with such DJs, it quickly became apparent that most people hiring a mobile disco for a wedding or special birthday / anniversary party etc. have never booked a disco before - and as they don't know any better, they rely on advice from friends of the family, the local pub landlord etc. expecting, but sadly often not receiving, a high level of customer care.

By charging a subscription to be listed on our site, we effectively weed out the "wannabes" right away.
